Exciting Daily Activities & Excursions

A Horizons Abroad student is surfing a wave in Biarritz, France.

Activities ranging from whitewater rafting, sunset hikes in the foothills of the Pyrenees, surfing lessons, cooking classes, and more!

Each session includes visits to Paris, Spain, and villages along the Côte Basque. The month session also visits Bordeaux!

Admission to museums as well as all group transportation while abroad is included in the program tuition.

Your day abroad is filled with enriching activities that connect you to your surroundings and tie you to French culture in exciting and memorable ways.

Horizons Abroad students are laughing and joking during an afternoon group activity.

Each session is facilitated and led by a team of 2 - 3 on-site program directors.

Director teams are a bi-lingual and bi-cultural mix of locals, French teachers, and former study abroad students.

The directors' job is to facilitate well-organized programs and offer student support - allowing you to have fun and live in the moment!

All Horizons France sessions begin and end at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).

Air travel is booked independently, and you are free to use miles, points, or any airline. You can choose to travel on flight itineraries that include the designated flights listed below, or book travel on any flight that arrives to Paris between 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM.

Suggested flights are likely to have others who you can meet before the program. All students are in contact with a dedicated staff member who tracks flights on travel days and are met by a program director when they arrive abroad.
